Here is a reading list from a leader in the Chiropractic field giving his view of great books from 2010 to consider reading for this year. One book that is not added to the list is the book I created this past year entitled, “Healing Verses of the Psalms.” If the title interests you please check out the link to Healing Verses on this site. Please enjoy the list.

In this lightning-fast era of YouTube video, iTunes and miniscule attention spans, the written word continues to occupy a place of honor in all aspects of communication. With the advent of electronic reading devices, many travelers are foregoing the latest movie to enjoy that age-old form of interpersonal information exchange, the book.

This year’s “best of” list is as diverse as it is stimulating, with philosophy books, motivation books, books on health, on creativity, on prosperity, on adventure and so much more.

As usual, I still have a pile of unread volumes from this year, some of which may well end up on next year’s list, but there’s a rich treasure trove of knowledge in this abundant display of genius, dished out in a variety of flavors that would make Ben and Jerry smile.

I don’t know about you, but I find that unless I plan a time specifically for diving into my books, I don’t get to it, with other more urgent and pressing matters moving my reading plans aside. If you suffer the same malady, choose a designated slot in your daily or weekly schedule, which you commit to personal growth through reading, and you’ll see how applying this simple tool helps you use consistency, focus and self-discipline to make a sufficient investment in yourself.

Also, hold yourself to a high standard of comprehension – sometimes, right before I turn the page, I realize I have no idea what I just read, and instead of just powering forth, I pause, give it a once-over to see if I really am ready to move ahead, and if not, I simply read the page over again. To me, if the book is worth reading, I want to extract all the essence, so I work constantly at refining my reading habits. You can, too.

Anyway, without further ado, here are this year’s favorites, my “Best Reading of 2010.”
