In my studies with HeartMath I came across the above statement which struck my attention. When something comes up that bothers us we may have had the tendency to ruminate about it really to our own detriment. I am finding the HeartMath tools to be very useful in being able to address this question effectively. We definitely don’t want to keep draining our energy however when something comes along that makes us mad or sad for example, how quick can we let it go is really what matters. And the quicker we can shift our attention the better for our short and long term health.
Another quote from HeartMath is,”When you catch your mind wondering simply refocus your attention on the heart area and reconnect with feelings of care and appreciation.” HeartMath also integrates deliberately focusing on slowing down your breathing as you do this.
Today I felt urged to share my elation in learning and applying the HeartMath tools. I look forward to sharing more.
