You may already have a resourcing routine, and if I may share mine to help. I wanted to share a routine I use for Evening and Morning Resourcing to help build your centering and connect to your Inner Compass Orientation. It’s about consciously closing and beginning each day with intention and self-care.

 Evening Time: Coming to Rest
The evening is a pause to review your day and prepare your mind and heart for renewal.

1. Reflection and Learning

  • Read something inspiring.
  • Journal your thoughts by focusing on:
    • Acknowledge your Successes, including Emotional Gains and Meaningful conversations.
    • Recognize your Challenges with Understanding. What did you learn? The goal is to Untangle the tangles and simply come to rest.
  1. Preparing for Tomorrow
  • Write out three intentions for your day tomorrow. Keep them generative, such as: “Have a wonderful time with…” or “Perfectly prep for my meeting”.
  1. Gentle Close
  • End with a prayerful intention that brings you to a deeper sense of rest. Personally, I find a simple phrase like, “O LORD I rest in thy love…” is a beautiful way to drift off to sleep.

Morning Time: Re-Sourcing
Take time to resource yourself and set a clear, generative course for the hours ahead.

1. Movement and Centering

  • Resource yourself with exercise of your choice. (Think: Posture Exercise, Light Squats, quick tapping, or contralateral movement, grounding outside).
  • Follow with a meditative practice (like HeartMath) to center yourself, and then journal.
  1. Gratitude and Intention
  • Journal writing prompts:
    • Write out three things for which I am grateful.
    • Write out your three main intentions for the day.
    • Write out an intention for how you will live this day—Personally, I write out a prayer relative to living in a state of praise and blessing.

Daily Flow Notes

  • Live the day through the various shift points as well as high points all with a sense of staying in flow.
  • Find a steady balance: Not too high or not too low. Avoid overamping or not under amping.
  • Note: The act of writing out your thoughts and intentions for both the evening and morning helps to catenate (connect in a chain) those intentions directly into reality.

I hope you have found this helpful and inspiring for your daily rhythm.
