As we begin a new year and reflect on our intentions, acknowledging daily successes is a key to moving forward.

Below is a list of questions drawn from the work of Benjamin Hardy’s book called The Gap and the Gain that assists us in putting our days in perspective by acknowledging our gains on our paths to our goals.

Benjamin Hardy writes, “Writing down three wins daily is one of the most effective ways to stay out of the GAP. You feel like you’re always winning and making progress. It keeps you in a state of momentum and confidence.”

Marisa Murgatroyd cites: “Change the way you measure success so you can actually FEEL successful and content… even when you’re just getting started… even when there’s still so much more to do… even when things don’t go as planned… even when things go completely off the rails… and even when you’re facing huge challenges and disappointments… Because success creates success!”

Below are the evening questions to consider. You can read through them and take note of any 3 of the 12 that give you the satisfaction of success you have had for the day.

Daily Wins: Your Experience of Success in your Path Forward

      • What’s one action you took today?
      • What’s one thing you accomplished?
      • What progress did you make?
      • What did you learn today?
      • How did you grow today?
      • How did you feel successful today?
      • What was a meaningful experience?
      • What’s a positive interaction you had?
      • How did you evolve your thinking?
      • How did you overcome a challenge?
      • What are you proud of?
      • What made you smile today?

By focusing on your daily wins, you’ll build momentum, find satisfaction, and foster a sense of calm and well-being.
