LIFE Chiropractic!
Last week, I attended Life University’s Homecoming, where I earned continuing education credits to renew my chiropractic license. As chiropractors, we’re required to complete at least 40 hours of continuing education every two years, and I especially enjoy reconnecting with friends from chiropractic school as well as learning new things.
What I truly appreciate about Life University is its emphasis on the Vitalistic perspective and its foundation in Lasting Purpose. The motto of Lasting Purpose is “To Give, To Do, To Love, To Serve – out of a Sense of Abundance.”
The vitalistic perspective includes key principles like:
- Innate Intelligence: The core belief that the body possesses a vital intelligence that directs its healing and functions.
- Self-Healing and Self-Development: Organisms are dynamic systems that can naturally heal, adapt, and grow.
- Focus on Health, Not Just Disease: Instead of only treating symptoms, this perspective promotes overall health and function.
- Interference and Healing: The main goal is to identify and remove any interferences—physical, emotional, or environmental—that block the body’s natural ability to heal.
- Holistic Approach: It recognizes the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and spirit, believing that true health requires balance among all three.
Life University’s mission is to train health professionals who can identify and correct these interferences, allowing individuals to express their full, innate potential. In essence, I have been thrilled to be part of a movement that chiropractic embodies: to elevate the consciousness of humanity with its vitalistic approach.
I personally loved every minute of my time there as a student and continue to enjoy participating in the homecoming events.
It truly is a place of LIFE!
For Our Greater Health,
Dr. Steve
P.S. If you know someone who is looking for a fulfilling and impactful career, I’d be happy to share my experiences and talk with them about a career in chiropractic.
