I wanted to share a deeper look at the concept of resourcing ourselves, which is so essential to maintaining our health and purpose, through an insightful video.
As my Aunt Lee shared: “No one goes untouched.” Every single person endures some kind of affliction. This common experience is our first step toward gaining perspective, allowing us to know there is something larger than the malady itself—our love-rooted purpose that keeps us centered. That makes the practice of resourcing ourselves essential.
Video Summary: Follow-Through Momentum Practices
The video details how we can actively resource ourselves to maintain this necessary perspective:
- Plug into Purpose (The Compass): Staying in a Flow State and maintaining momentum requires having a clear “compass in our heart” that is consistently plugged into our purpose.
- Default Time Blocks: Establishing non-negotiable routines (like evening preparation and morning centering practices) creates a foundation for success.
- Balance and Tempering: Staying in Flow requires consciously finding the balance between activity and rest, recognizing when we are “over-amping” or “under-amping” and tempering back.
- Momentum Formula: Momentum is fundamentally built by having more resource/creative experiences than reactive states in our lives.
Context for the Video: The video was originally designed for my Adair Kates Conscious Leadership colleagues. While the practices are universal, please note that some language and references are specific to that group.

I invite you to consider: What is the most useful insight from this video that you can apply to actively resource yourself and build your internal centering?
If you need assistance mapping out or refining your resourcing practice, I would be glad to help.
