Our Values are Our Compass

Last Sunday, ‘60 Minutes’ covered a story about young people being influenced by social media in a negative way.  It got me thinking about how and why this is happening not only to young people but all age groups.

Life provides many forks in the road where decisions can have long-lasting impact – both good and bad.  Your Value System acts like a filter, helping you make decisions that lead you down the right road.

But if you are unaware of, or become disconnected with your Value System, you could end up making choices out of impulse, convenience, or from the influence of others rather than on solid reasoning and responsible decision-making.

An invisible influence of sanity and commonsense is extended all the time by those who are true to the truth of their own being.  It’s important to awaken to true qualities of character such as uprightness, understanding and a willingness to give. As we maintain composure when under the pressure of a crisis, we help to bring stability, renewed courage and clarity.  This enables us to assist others who are looking for support, direction and understanding.

I am thinking about creating an educational program in this respect for all age groups.
Let me know if you are interested.
