Can you relate to being at ease with getting older?

We considered this topic in our recent “Conscious Healthy Aging” class and what one can do to optimize their own state of being.

As most of you know, I like to study new things especially regarding health matters. For some time, I’ve been interested in DNA genomic studies.  This differs from genetic testing:

“Genetics refers to the study of genes and the way that certain traits or conditions are passed down from one generation to another. Genomics describes the study of all of a person’s genes (the genome).”  -National Institute of Health (NIH)

Genomics can provide us with information on how well our body is aging and what we can do to keep it as healthy as possible.  I’ve researched genomic assessments and I’m excited about a Longevity Optimization Assessment from The DNA Company that holds a lot of promise.
Here are some excerpts from their website that describe what it provides:

  • Your (Longevity Assessment) report will include a grade score across four important genomic biomarkers of longevity: Brain, Body, Bone, and Biodefense. It will also contain personalized recommendations on how to mitigate risks associated with any sub-optimal outcomes as well as recommendations to optimize and boost your overall longevity.
  • With the help of insights from your own DNA, you can help extend your lifespan for as long as possible by understanding exactly what changes you need to make to your diet, lifestyle, and environment.
  • The longevity report allows anyone to understand their body, how it ages, and how to optimize against chronic disease and rapid aging.”

Let’s consider how we can be more at ease with “getting older,” and really having more confidence about it.
