Something funny and unexpected happened during one of my recent HeartMath meetup sessions.

As I was sharing about the power of self-regulation and how it can transform our conscious state, our cat decided to join in.

She suddenly appeared into the background during our meditation session, and even made a cameo in my slides!

The moment brought a big smile to my face. And it reminded me of the importance of embracing those little experiences that make us smile.

Such moments play a huge part in our ability to self-regulate, to maintain a balance in our emotional and physiological state.

When we smile, we send a message to our brain that everything is okay. It’s a simple act, but it can have a profound impact on our wellbeing.

It’s why I always encourage everyone to take note of the experiences that make them smile, to hold onto those moments and use them as a tool for self-regulation.
